The British Onion Producers' Association Ltd was formed in 1986 with the following objectives:

Improving quality standards
Ensuring year round continuity of Quality British Onions
Encouraging the development of better varieties and improved growing techniques through working alongside the Horticultural Development Council
Encouraging exports
Promotional activities and market research
Providing information to members to help secure the profitability of growing British onions, in the format of a monthly newsletter and weekly news sheet
Political & regulatory issues are addressed both at DEFRA and EU levels

Membership is open to all involved in the onion industry:
Growers - Packers - Processors - Agronomists - Colleges - Allied industries.
